Perrier French Way
For over a century, Perrier has been used by mixologists to create magnificent cocktails. Perrier keeps this tradition alive today by continuing to develop its close ties with the art of mixology.
Blending French cocktail history and modern application, The French Way is a perfect way to add a vintage touch to any cocktail experience.
Ingredients
- 1 slice of fresh ginger
- 1 wedge of lemon
- 1cl of cane sugar syrup
- 2cl of blue curaçao
- A sugar cube
- 1 33cl bottle of Perrier
In a mixing glass, crush a slice of fresh ginger and a lemon wedge with a pestle. Add 1cl of cane sugar syrup. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir with a bar spoon.
Double filter the mixture into an absinth glass.
Soak a lump of white sugar with blue curaçao and then place it on an absinthe spoon over the glass.
Pour the Perrier over the soaked sugar lump until it dissolves. Once the sugar has dissolved, drop the absinthe spoon into the glass, stir and enjoy.
The ritual surrounding the traditional serving of absinthe is very important.
Finish the cocktail by pouring the Perrier over the blue sugar, thereby introducing them to the “French way” of consuming an absinthe cocktail.
